People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons. From dealing with day-to-day stressors, to overcoming unresolved trauma, therapy can strengthen your understanding of who you are, promote personal growth, and deepen your relationships with others.

No issue is too big or too small. And therapy isn’t just for discussing issues–it’s important to give space to joy and achievements as well! With a non-judgmental attitude, I support individuals face difficult life circumstances, reframe unhelpful thoughts, and replace self-criticism with curiosity. In turn, this curiosity leads to increased self-understanding, empathy, and confidence.

Everybody deserves to feel fulfilled and authentic to who they are. Therapy is a tool to empower yourself to create positive change and improve your overall life satisfaction.

Issues

These are some of the challenges I typically help people through.
Don't see something specific? Let's talk – we still might be a good fit.

Many people experience anxiety on some level. When it begins to interfere with daily living or you notice it pulling you further and further from the present moment, it's time to see if therapy can help.

Work shouldn't be an everyday struggle. If you feel beat down, burnt out, or unmotivated at work, therapy can help you identify the things you'd like to change and accept the things you cannot.

Going through a life transition can be overwhelming, paralyzing, and confusing. With the right coping strategies, tools, and mindset, we can better navigate the changes life throws our way.

Communication is at the core of how we connect with others and build relationships. But it's not always easy. Therapy can help you more authentically express yourself and set healthy boundaries in all areas of your life.

While "men's issues" are certainly not limited to gender, boys and men often do not have a space to show vulnerability or the tools needed to effectively communicate. Therapy is a huge towards better understanding your emotions.

When a traumatic or distressing event happens to us, it can make us feel stuck in the past or create negative beliefs about ourselves. I offer specific kinds of therapy (including EMDR) to help you heal and move forward.

What People Enjoy Most About Working With Me

I'm not the kind of therapist who sits back and only asks, "how did that make you feel?" Anybody can talk to a brick wall - you're here because you want to feel challenged, supported, guided, and connected. I'll be with you every step of the way.

And I'll bring my whole self to our sessions, just like you. Because that's the only way we'll be able to do the real work.

Every Part of You is Welcome
We'll Focus on the Roots and the Branches

Nothing is taboo, nothing is off limits. There is no "wrong" way to do therapy, and you don't need to worry about bringing something into session that I can't handle. If there's something you're hesitant to bring up or you think might make things awkward, it's usually a good sign that it's important enough to discuss.

Every thought or feeling of yours is welcome, especially those that leave you confused, questioning, or cringing.

Some kinds of therapy only focus on the roots of a problem, addressing those deep, childhood experiences that can create an unsteady future foundation. Other kinds of therapy pay more attention to the branches, introducing coping mechanisms or new habits to quickly change your behavior.

I integrate these two approaches, helping you uncover and resolve past experiences, while also developing unique skills to make your day-to-day routine just a little bit easier.
